About Tellus

Tellus’ founders, Tania and Kevin, prototyping a device

How it started

Tania and Kevin founded Tellus in 2017 with a mission to bring better technology to eldercare. They are inspired by their personal experiences as two technologically oriented people who couldn’t find the right products or services to help take care of their aging grandparents.

They started Tellus to bring thoughtful products that focus on actionable data, privacy and dignity to this complex problem of aging. They strongly believe in Tellus as an important piece of remote patient monitoring, which is critical in addressing growing caregiver labor shortages and costs of care.

Our vision

At Tellus, our vision is to radically improve eldercare with cutting-edge technology. We’ve built an AI-enabled device that is non-contact (no wearables or cameras) and smart. We deliver insights and alerts on critical health information and events like changes in vital signs or activity.

We are alumni of Google, Apple, and Stanford University, with master’s degrees in business & engineering and backed by investors Phil Libin / All Turtles, The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Energy & Environment Investment, Digital Garage, Miyako Capital, and DG Daiwa Ventures.
